How eBay works for sellers
eBay is a search engine with a checkout attached. Buyers type what they want, filter by brand, size and condition, and eBay ranks the results. So an accurate title and complete item specifics decide whether buyers find your piece at all.
Each piece sells at a fixed price (Buy It Now), with Best Offer if you switch it on, or by auction. Buyers pay through eBay's checkout, and its Money Back Guarantee covers them if an item does not arrive or does not match the listing.
eBay tends to suit pieces people search for by name: known brands, specific items and hard to find sizes.
